Set within the peaceful orchard gardens of the old Priory Farm in Anderby’s nature preservation area, in the Coastal Park, these exceptionally lovely cottages share a pretty courtyard whilst each enjoying its own enclosed private garden and patio with hot tub. The luxuriously appointed cottage interiors are fresh and contemporary and the welcoming owner’s talent in garden design is evident in the aromatic herbs and gorgeous planting gracing the beautiful patio areas. Cycle loan is available to visitors for exploring the coastline – the coastal path runs both north and south and locally many waymarked footpaths invite walkers. Just 1.5 miles away is the glorious beach at Anderby Creek, which now boasts a new ‘cloud interpretation platform’ and bird hide as well as superb sands, a licensed beach cafe, seasonal shop and pub. (Dogs are welcome on part of the beach all year round although prohibited in the main bathing area in summer.) Golf, coarse and sea fishing and horse riding are all enjoyed nearby. The East Coast’s diverse delights include fantastic beaches, seal havens, with breeding seals on the sands at Donna Nook in November, bird sanctuaries and of course the traditional seaside fun, restaurants and takeaways at Chapel St Leonards (3.5 miles) and Skegness (9 miles), home of Fantasy Island theme park. The market town of Alford’s famous windmill is 4 miles, the city of Lincoln’s medieval centre and vibrant waterfront are an easy drive, and the area’s aviation museums are always popular.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
